How your address is handled.
This is the collection notice for this website. It covers the updates list, messages you send us, the visitor count and ordinary server logs. Nothing else here collects anything. The app will have its own privacy policy.
Effective 5 October 2026
Who is responsible
This website is operated by PureTag Social. In this notice, "we" means PureTag Social as the operator of this site. Questions and requests go to hello@puretag.social.
What is collected when you sign up
- Your email address. So the updates can reach you.
- Where the link you used came from. If the link that brought you here carries a label saying where it was posted or which campaign it belongs to, that label is stored with your address so we can tell which places and campaigns bring people here.
- Your consent record. The email service records the date and time you submitted the form, the date and time you clicked the confirmation link, the IP address in use at those moments, and a label saying which version of the signup wording you saw. That is the evidence that you asked for these emails.
A confirmation link comes first. Nothing else is sent until you click it. If you never click it, the unconfirmed record is deleted by the email service after its standard retention period for unconfirmed signups.
If you contact us
If you write to us through the contact form or by email, we receive your name if you give it, your email address and your message. The contact form opens your own email app with the message ready; nothing is sent through this website. We use your name and email address only to answer you, and keep the correspondence for as long as the conversation needs. If your message contains an idea or suggestion about PureTag, section 10 of the terms explains how we may use it.
What it is used for
Sending you the updates you asked for: roughly one email a month about building PureTag, a note when there is something real to show, and news of our Kickstarter campaign, with more emails while it runs. Understanding which outreach channels bring people to the list. Keeping the record that you asked for these emails. Answering any request you make about your information. That is the complete list of purposes.
Who holds it
The list is held by an email service provider that acts as a processor on PureTag's instructions. It stores your email address, where the link you used came from and your consent record, and it sends the emails. Nobody else receives your address, unless the law requires us to hand it over.
If PureTag's business ever passes to a successor, the list goes with it, and this notice still applies to it.
What this site does not do
This site sets no cookies of its own. If our host runs a security check to tell browsers from automated traffic, it may set a short-lived cookie for that check alone, and we do not read it. The site has no advertising, no social media embeds, and no third-party scripts other than the visitor-count service below. There is no account, no password and no tracking across other sites.
Kept in your browser
Two things are kept in your own browser and never sent to us. If you pause the motion on the site, that choice is remembered so the pages stay still for you, and it stays until you clear your browser's data for this site. When you submit the signup form, the address you typed is kept so that the next page can show it back to you, and it is removed once that page has shown it, or when the tab closes.
Do Not Track
This site does not collect information about what you do over time or on other websites, and no other party does so through this site. A Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal from your browser therefore changes nothing here, because there is no tracking for it to switch off.
Visitor counts
Page views are counted with Cloudflare Web Analytics. Cloudflare states that it uses no cookies or other browser storage for this, and that it does not identify you by your IP address, your browser or any other data to produce the count. It does not follow you to other sites. What we see are totals: which pages were viewed, how many times, from which countries, and on which kinds of device and browser. The site's host also keeps ordinary server logs (the address a request came from, the time, and the page requested) for security and reliability, for a short period.
How long it is kept
Your address and the details above are kept for as long as you are subscribed. When you unsubscribe, the email service keeps your address on a do-not-email list so that it is not emailed again, along with the record of when you signed up and when you left, which is our proof of both. If you ask for deletion, the address and every associated record are removed from the email service, including the do-not-email list, and you will need to sign up again if you want to return.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link. It works for at least 60 days after each email is sent, and it takes effect promptly.
- Deletion. Email hello@puretag.social from the address in question and ask. It is done as quickly as possible and within the time the law where you live allows.
- Access and correction. Ask the same way, from the address in question, and you will receive what is held about you or have it corrected.
- No sale. We do not sell the information described in this notice. If you want to direct us never to sell information about you, ask the same way, from the address in question. That is the address for such requests, and we answer within 60 days.
If you live somewhere that gives you additional rights over your personal information, including California, other US states with privacy laws, and Canada, you can exercise them through the same address. No request is refused for being made informally.
Children
This website is not directed to children under 13. The updates list is for people 18 and over, and the form asks you to confirm that before you submit. If a reply or any other signal tells us that a subscriber is under 13, we delete the address and every associated record from the email service as soon as we learn of it. Nothing more is sent to that address unless someone signs it up and confirms it again. If you are between 13 and 17 and signed up anyway, tell us and the same deletion happens.
Changes
If this notice changes, the date at the top changes with it and the previous wording is kept on request. A change that widens what is collected or what it is used for is announced in the next email before it takes effect.
